Yoshiritsu Co., Ltd. would like to warn our valued customers and retailers of copy products manufactured in China. At the moment the copy products we have found are of poor quality and will easily bend and break. We have found that the contents of these copy kits do not comply with what is shown on the package, and there are not enough sufficient parts to complete making the sample figures on the package. The quality standard and design of these copy kits is extremely poor. These copy products have no guarantee for the blocks and there is no company information on the packages to contact in case of any customer complaints. Yoshiritsu cannot make any exchange for such copy products, so please be aware that these products are NOT guaranteed products and do not have traceable manufacturer information.
We also wish to warn all companies, that presently there is a Chinese company claiming to hold a patent for LaQ copy products. Of course, this is not possible as the design and mechanism of LaQ blocks was invented by our president Hiroshi Kichijo, and the world wide patent for the blocks was applied for in 1993. Presently the patents are valid in Japan, USA, EU, Korea, Taiwan, and we also hold the copyright for LaQ parts in Japan, China, USA, EU and other world wide territories.
According to the system of the patent law, once an application is submitted, application to other global territories must be submitted within a determined period and after this period NO OTHER COMPANY can be approved for a patent. As Yoshiritsu Co., Ltd. has applied for a patent it is not possible for any company to have a valid legal patent.
However, an application can be made. An application has no valid legal rights and will be rejected after confirming that a patent cannot be issued. Copy companies sometimes use the application number and claim that it is a patent. It would be a serious problem if a retailer were to purchase copy products with the false impression that the copy product has a legitimate patent, so please be aware of this risk.
As LaQ becomes more and more recognized as a wonderful toy for children around the world, we will be faced with problems of piracy. The copy companies may make an effort to improve their products to catch up with our LaQ line-up, but Yoshiritsu Co., Ltd. has knowledge of marketing LaQ for 15 years in Japan and with that knowledge we will always have new parts, new kits, new events to satisfy our customers.
As the original inventor and manufacturer, we feel that it is our responsibility to warn all consumers and retailers of copy companies. Yoshiritsu Co., Ltd. will continue to announce new LaQ parts and kits and provide high quality products and customer service. We strongly regret any comparison to copy companies in the quality of our products, our customer support and company philosophy.

詗注意仿冒商品最近中国制的LaQ仿冒商品层出不穷。现阶段根据本公司吉立株式会社所掌握的资訏，仿冒品大多材质低劣且零件容易破损，再加上由于零件的总数零散无法拼装成包装上标示的作品…等问题，可见品质与企划上十分拙劣。除此之外，关于类似LaQ的仿冒商品，不但没有经过安全的合格检验，并且在制造工厂的情报上也含糊不清，品质无法保障。本公司吉立株式会社当然不保障这类的仿冒商品(如破损零件的交换或零件数不足的补充)，所以在选购之前，詗特别注意。
同时，似乎有制造仿冒品的公司主张取得LaQ的专利权。在此声明LaQ的专利在1993年由本公司吉立株式会社向世界各国提出专利权的申詗，目前在日本、美国、韩国、欧洲、台湾…等国家正式取得訄可，发明专利也以中国和美国为中心积ﾌ申詗、登录中，15年间以日本为中心开始销售贩卖。因此在本公司吉立株式会社取得专利权的前提下，有任何其他第三者在其他的国家或区域声明取得同样的专利权的这类情况，在制度上是不可能的。有关于这类不实声明也詗特别留意。
